Passenger-Friendly Universal Designs
Mitsubishi Electric places enormous emphasis on elevator designs that provide all passengers with a safer, more comfortable ride. Elevator users come in all sizes and levels of physical ability, demanding the application of passenger-friendly features including large, ergonomically designed buttons and indicators, plus conveniences like voice guidance and thicker handrails.

  • Larger Indicators
    New indicators are made more viewable, approximately 1.6 times larger than previous ones.

    Tactile Buttons
    Redesigned for enhanced operability for every passenger, including those with visual impairments. New numerical design and attractive color contrast help passengers easily recognize which button to press. Embossed button numerals help visually impaired passengers easily locate the correct button with a simple touch.

    Larger Door Open Button
    An easy-to-use Door Open Button approximately 1.6 times larger than previous types, ensuring that passengers will not press the Door Close Button by mistake.

    Voice Guidance System
    (optional)
    Narrates information such as elevator traveling direction, floors to serve, and other messages.

    Sonic Car Buttons
    (optional)
    Emit electronic beep sounds when pressed to indicate the call has been registered.

    Glass Windows
    (optional)
    Doors equipped with tempered glass windows allow passengers to be seen from outside the car, thus enhancing security.

    Full-height Mirrors
    (optional)
    A stainless steel mirror is available for car interior panels. When installed in the center of the rear wall, wheelchair users exiting from the car can visually check for obstacles behind them.

    Thicker Handrails
    (optional)
    Handrails have been made thicker (38mm/1.5 in. in diameter) so that passengers can grip them securely as the car travels.
