IT Drives Elevator Evolution
Information Technology is an integral part of Mitsubishi Electric’s AI (Artificial Intelligence) advanced elevator control technology. In addition, a touch panel and LCD screen in the car offer a variety of useful functions for passengers.

Graphic Panels
Display System
High-definition LCDs can simultaneously display graphics that show the elevator’s current position and direction, along with messages, time and other information. The bright, highly visible color liquid crystal display can be seen clearly from all corners of the car.

Touch Panel**
Using a very highly reliable sensor, the touch panel is a clearly visible color-LCD that simultaneously shows graphical destination buttons and messages. A light touch on the destination button is all that’s needed to register a desired floor.

**(1) Note that the Touch Panel cannot be used for elevators designed for visually impaired passengers, or for fireman service elevators.
**(2) Also note that the Touch Panel cannot be used in the United States or in countries where regulations, such as EN 81-70, mandate specific measures for physically challenged passengers.
